Abstract
Takayasu's arteritis is a rare chronic vasculitis involving the aorta and its main branches. Anesthesia for patients with Takayasu's arteritis is complicated by their severe uncontrolled hypertension and end-organ dysfunction resulting from hypertension, stenosis of major blood vessels, and difficulties encountered in monitoring arterial blood pressure. We report a case that known Takayasu's arteritis patient 38 years old female (weight 32kg, height 142cm) required closed reduction, incision and drainage of mandible due to osteomyelitis under general analgesia.
Key Words: Takayasu arteritis; General anesthesia; Monitoring
